Moroccan-styled open-sided room at Sasaab

Luxury · Luxury tented lodge

Sasaab

Westgate Community Conservancy, above the Ewaso Ng'iro River

Overview

Sasaab is unmistakable: nine enormous Moroccan-styled rooms with arched openings, swathes of white cotton and private plunge pools, set high above a bend in the Ewaso Ng'iro.

The lodge lies in the Westgate Community Conservancy, a Samburu-owned area bordering the park. Camel-back safaris, guided walks and river swims are all part of the experience here, alongside classic game drives.

It is a strong choice for travellers who want cultural depth — the guiding team is largely Samburu and the community relationship is central to how the lodge operates.
