Samburu National Park fees
Entry fees are charged per 24 hours and are collected by the Samburu County Government at the park gates.
The figures below are indicative and were correct at the time of writing. Park fees are reviewed periodically, and Buffalo Springs and Shaba charge separately, so budget for each park you plan to enter. We confirm current fees with every enquiry.

How fees are usually paid
Most camps and lodges inside the park include entry fees in their full-board rates, or add them to your final bill. If you are self-driving or staying outside the park, you pay at the gate. Card payment is the norm; cash is not always accepted, so bring a Visa or Mastercard.
Ways to reduce costs
- Stay outside the park — properties such as Samburu Simba Lodge mean you only pay fees on the days you enter.
- Enter the park early so a 24-hour ticket covers two game drives.
- Travel in the green season, when accommodation rates fall sharply.
- East African residents and citizens should carry ID to claim reduced rates.
