Overview
Ashnil Samburu Camp is one of the more comfortable mid-range properties in the ecosystem, with air-conditioned tents — a real advantage in the Samburu heat.
The camp overlooks a wide, active bend of the river where elephant herds cross most afternoons, and the pool deck is a genuine game-viewing spot in its own right.
It is popular with families and small groups, and its position gives quick access to both Buffalo Springs and Samburu National Park.

Buffalo Springs bank of the Ewaso Ng'iro, opposite Samburu National Park. Samburu National Park is reached by a 5–6 hour drive from Nairobi or a 1 hour 15 minute scheduled flight to the Samburu or Kalama airstrips, followed by a short transfer. See our guide to getting there.
